Roles and Responsibilities of HR Manager

(Emeritus, 2022)

Human resource management is associated with the progress of both individuals and the organization in which they work. HRM is involved not only in securing and developing the ability of individual workers but also in executing programs that improve communication and cooperation between those individual workers to nurture organizational development (Minbox, 2019).

A company succeeds because of its employees and especially the HR Manager’s role and responsibilities are crucial to run the business successfully (Emeritus, 2022).

HR manager’s roles and responsibilities as follows;

 Human Resource Planning

Human Resource Planning is the process of systematically reviewing HR requirements to ensure that the required number of employees with the required skills is available when they are needed. Getting the right number of qualified people into the right job is the crux of the problem here (Dalvi, n.d.).

Job Analysis and Design

Job analysis investigates and identifies the duties, tasks, responsibilities, skills, and knowledge, essential qualifications for a certain job profile. Job Design focuses on integrating the requirements and needs of an employee with the objectives of the organization (Edu, 2020).

Dealing with Laws

Human resource professionals have to keep them updated on local and international laws that affect the relationship between employees and employers (Faisal, 2022).

Hiring Candidates

Nowadays, Finding and hiring the right talent for an organization is a very complex process. Modern human resources departments develop strategic solutions to attract suitable candidates to fulfill the demands of the business (Dudhat, 2022).

Training and Development

Employee Training and Development in HRM is defined as a system used by an organization to improve the skills, knowledge, and performance of the employees (Board, n.d.).

Monitor Performance

Performance Monitoring is defined as the process of appraising an environment of continuous learning and development. It will be done by maintaining the employee’s performance and enhancing individual competencies to make them more productive for the organization (Geektonight, 2021).

 Maintaining Work Culture

Culture is the character and personality of your organization. It's what makes your business unique and is the sum of its values, traditions, beliefs, interactions, behaviors, and attitudes. Positive workplace culture attracts talent, drives engagement, impacts happiness and satisfaction, and affects performance (ERC, 2019).

Resolve Conflict

Managers need to understand that employees come from different backgrounds, and therefore, can have differing opinions and different working styles. A good HR manager sees signs of conflict before it gets serious: Take the person aside, listen actively, and then give specific feedback, explain both sides and come to a resolution (Michael, 2022).

Ensure the Health and Safety of Employees

HR teams can play a key role in bringing about the organizational change needed to support people’s mental and physical well-being through understanding government policies and the law (Allen, 2021).

Rewards and Incentives

Both employees and employers benefit when rewards and incentives are offered in the workplace. Many HR managers use rewards and incentives to boost morale, motivate their staff and develop a sense of teamwork through friendly competition (Indeed, 2020).

In conclusion, the above are the core roles and responsibilities of the HR Manager in order to develop performance and better management to achieve the goals and objectives of an organization.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of both individual employees and the organization as a whole. HRM is not only responsible for securing and enhancing the abilities of workers but also for fostering an environment of communication and cooperation to promote organizational development. The success of a company is heavily dependent on its employees, and the HR Manager's roles and responsibilities are critical in ensuring the smooth operation and success of the business.

The core roles and responsibilities of an HR Manager include Human Resource Planning, which ensures the right number of qualified employees are available when needed. Job Analysis and Design help align employee needs with organizational objectives. HR professionals must stay informed about relevant laws affecting employee-employer relationships. The complex process of hiring the right candidates requires strategic solutions to meet business demands.

Performance Monitoring maintains continuous learning and development, enhancing individual competencies. Maintaining a positive work culture attracts talent, drives engagement, and impacts overall performance.
